PREVALENCE OF DEPRESSION AND ITS ASSOCIATED FACTORS DURING 2ND WAVE OF COVID-19 AMONG PREGNANT WOMEN IN A TERTIARY CARE HOSPITAL, LAHORE

Purpose of the study: Antenatal depression is a significant predictor for postnatal depression, and pregnant women with depressive symptoms have an increased risk frequent non-scheduled medical emergency visits. The purpose this study to evaluate antenatal its related factors effects COVID-19 pandemic on frequency visits.
 Methodology: A descriptive cross-sectional was conducted from July September 2020 220 Gynae Outpatient Department at Tertiary Care Hospital Lahore. Women aged 18–45 years no pregnancy-related complications were included. Patient Health Questionnaire-9 tool used screen self-structured questionnaire developed explore depression-related factors.
 Main Findings: prevalence found very high among during second wave Covid-19 did not affect regular visits women.
 Applications Mental disorders are associated several individuals societal factors, including feelings insecurity hopelessness, exposure violence, physical ill health, rapid social change. existing situation, working home, temporary unemployment, home-schooling children, lack contact support, it important look after mental health especially in pregnancy who can suffer more severe problems ANC that directly maternal child health.
 Novelty/Originality Depression prevents patients taking active role their healthcare. care (ANC) healthcare emergencies 2nd COVID-19. It pandemic. Counselling awareness may improve women.
